Diagnose the query behind the miss
Find the searches where your result is losing the click.
See the queries with visibility but weak engagement to decide whether the snippet, page, or intent match needs work.
What it finds
- CTR Queries finds search terms where your site appears, but the search result does not win enough clicks.
- It helps you understand whether the problem is the snippet, the ranking page, or the search intent match.
What it uses
- The data comes from the Google Search Console property you connect to SEO Signal.
- SEO Signal reads historical Search Console performance data and turns it into page, query, trend, country, and device views.
Why it matters
- Shows demand where your site appears but searchers do not choose your result.
- Reveals title mismatch, weak snippet promise, wrong landing page, or unclear search intent.
From signal to decision
See the logic behind every recommendation.
SEO Signal makes the calculation visible, so your team can use the report as evidence rather than a black-box score.
- 1
The report groups Search Console performance by query text.
- 2
A query enters this report when it has enough impressions and its CTR is lower than expected for its average position.
- 3
Clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position are calculated across all matching appearances of that query.
- 4
The strongest low-click query opportunities are shown first.
What to do next
Move from a report to a real SEO fix.
- Match the ranking page title and intro to the query promise.
- Create or retarget a better page when the current ranking URL is the wrong answer.
Read the signal in context
Important limits to check before acting.
- Search Console hides some low-volume or sensitive search data, so page totals, query totals, and site totals may not match perfectly.
- The current day is not used because Search Console data can still be incomplete.
- A result in these reports is a signal for investigation. It is not proof by itself that a page was published, deleted, penalized, or technically broken.
- Search Console may hide some low-volume query data, so this view may not include every query you see in other exports.
- A query can have multiple ranking pages. Open the detail view before assigning the fix to one URL.
